How it started
The Birth of Local Link Hub
Our journey began over two years ago, sparked by countless discussions and walks in nature, as we searched for a concept aligned with our core values of fairness and inclusivity.
Local Link Hub was founded upon the realisation that many small businesses, including those of our friends, struggled to promote their services amidst fierce competition and high advertising costs.
Inspired by the potential of collaboration and cross-promotion marketing, we embarked on a mission to create a solution that levels the playing field for businesses of all sizes.
Drawing from our diverse work experiences we identified the need for a collaborative promotion platform that fosters opportunities while promoting social responsibility. Local Link Hub is our solution.

Meet the people behind Local Link Hub
Philippa
When people ask me about my past careers, it’s always a colourful conversation! I began as a medical lab technician in the armed forces, utilising my degree in biomedical science to learn precision and discipline. From there, I’ve explored various roles, including driving instructor and multiple management positions.
It wasn’t until I discovered my true passion for entrepreneurship and idea generation that I found my calling. I’ve ventured into property renovations, home furnishings, and successfully launched a manufacturing business. Recognising the importance of online presence, I’ve recently retrained as a website developer.
With a diverse background and unwavering determination, I’m deeply passionate about people, the environment, and social equality.
Julie
My journey began in the world of banking, where I discovered my passion for helping others succeed through projects and training. Transitioning into education, I found joy in teaching business and entrepreneurship, guiding students toward their goals and progressed to leadership roles.
My path led me into professional coaching, specialising in supporting aspiring entrepreneurs and business startups. I am also an Associate University Lecturer in Business Management and Leadership, specialising in marketing and entrepreneurship.
I am an advocate of regenerative leadership and corporate social responsibility and currently exploring climate coaching for a dissertation. I want to be part of an environment where everyone can thrive and contribute to a brighter future.
Though we may be a small team today, we firmly believe that every small step we take, paves the way for remarkable achievements tomorrow. Stay tuned and remember, ‘from acorns come great oaks.’ Together, we can cultivate a brighter future for all.
